First Reform UK launched a rap video for its candidate Rob Kenyon in the Makerfield by-election. Now the universe's favourite novelty politician, intergalactic space warrior Count Binface, has espoused his manifesto in the form of a song and dance. Posting the video on X, Count Binface said: "There now follows a party political broadcast by the Count Binface Party. And tbh [to be honest] it’s a banger." The tune seems to be inspired by Marc Cohn's 'Walking in Memphis', which spent 23 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1991. It has since been covered by Cher among others. Overlaid with shots of him standing on Ashton-in-Makerfield high street, as well as outside Galloways Bakers, Binface spares no one in the video. He accuses Andy Burnham and Wes Streeting of launching "a palace coup", and mentions Nigel Farage for accepting a £5m crypto donation. Binface says the Greens are "really something, if you want to hypnotise your boobs". He makes reference to several of his manifesto pledges, including all 99 Flake ice-creams to cost no more than 99 pence and bringing back Ceefax. "I'm the sane one this time," he croons. "It's time to show the b*****ds how you feel". At the time of writing the video had been viewed over 42,000 times. It has received a lot of praise and laughter. "This is the single best political ad for this byelection - vote Binface!" wrote Dennis Noel Kavanagh. Jennifer Stewart said: I don't like the opening... But, otherwise, it sure is a banger. V. funny punchline." Meanwhile, a user named 'Happy Hiker' posted: "This is brilliant. Everyone in Makerfield should vote for Count Binface to stick it to the other parties who always promise much but never deliver. "Even if elected one (more?) weird MP can’t possibly damage the UK more than other parties. Go Binface. Hope you trash the others!" Last week, Reform UK released its candidate Rob Kenyon's election campaign soundtrack 'White Van Wave'. The video is a montage of him driving around in his white van and hauling his plumbing tools, walking around with party leader Nigel Farage, and climbing up ladders. The clips are overlaid with lyrics like: "White van wave, Makerfield gone turquoise. Watch the whole ends rise" and makes reference to it being a "David vs Goliath" battle.
