An Observation made within Sam Spratt's "IX. The Monument Game" - Once, I was a tree,
The most glorious among all.
Fed with water and honoured by the Second Men,
They built fences around me, making me feel cherished.
No animal ever touched a single root of mine.
My wood was the strongest.
For the honours they gave, I provided long, strong sticks.
How could I foresee they'd use them against my brothers?
Now, I am the last tree standing, the saddest soul on Earth.
But my time too will come, and none will mourn my heart of stone.
