An Observation made within Sam Spratt's "IX. The Monument Game" - My child, listen closely.
Before you leave the pack to enter the wilderness,
This you must know:
The mouth, which carried you tenderly by the neck,
Holds fangs with which we tore the throat of the hunter.
Our campfire casts both shadow and light.
Alone, you will sleep in fear of ambush;
Together, we confront giants unknown.
Dormant beasts within us wait,
The ancient heart does softly cry.
My child, join the hunters,
Because hunted, you will not survive.
