Seven suspects extradited from Cyprus in €700 million crypto scam case

Seven people detained on the basis of European arrest warrants have been extradited from Cyprus to France and Belgium. They are suspected of involvement in a large-scale international investment fraud scheme involving cryptocurrencies, with total losses estimated at around €700 million.
During court proceedings in Cyprus, the detainees attempted to challenge the legality of the issued European arrest warrants on various legal grounds. However, Cypriot courts rejected their arguments and upheld the extradition decisions for further investigation in the requesting states, Belgium and France.
