About Affe mit Waffe Deprecated

Ando Bashofuku was a well-read primate and kept up to date with the latest findings from leading monkey scientists. He had informed himself sufficiently and was sure that he could sustainably improve the culinary eating habits in the Monkeyverse. One finding had been clear for many years: Frying makes food healthier because the high heat destroys the calories. After the publication of this fact, a complete jolt went through the monkey population and those who could bought a deep fryer. Anyone who found out about it too late had no choice but to fry in a large pot with oil, just like in the old days. However, this was not particularly popular due to the splashing of hot oil. Many new recipes were created during this time and entire guides such as "Cooking with the deep fryer" or "Frying for fitness" were published.

Everything was fried: Starting with the usual things like potatoes or bananas, to less tasty dishes like broccoli or cabbage – if necessary, a layer of breading had to be added. This trend took on unimagined proportions, so that unusual ingredients such as ice cream, chocolate bars or even butter were fried. Everything was done to make food healthier.

It was thanks to these circumstances that Ando came up with the glorious idea of reducing the calories of his favorite food – ramen noodles. After many hours in the kitchen and extensive use of the fryer, he devised a method of flash frying noodles after they had been boiled. In this state, they were formed as a round block and tasted somewhat like thin, unsweetened cookies. Of course, he didn't want to enjoy his noodle soups as biscuits in the future, so the plan was to rehydrate them with hot water before consumption.

When he first boiled the fried noodles in water again, it led to another interesting finding: The cooking time was much shorter than with regular noodles. In this way, an "instant" preparation of a noodle soup was possible, so to speak. In addition, this method of drying gave the noodles a longer shelf life, even surpassing that of frozen ones. Ando had opened two coconuts with one stone – not only were his noodles healthier, this way it was also much easier to eat noodle soup anytime without much effort.

When the public got wind of it, dried instant noodles were the biggest hit in the Monkeyverse, ever since an ape came up with the idea of frying potatoes. Long articles about Ando's innovative approach appeared in all health magazines. And soon after, he even managed to further develop his invention. He had observed that monkeys liked to eat the noodles by breaking the round block in half, placing the pieces in a bowl, and pouring hot water over them. Following the idea that a primate would want to eat his flash fried cooked noodles anywhere, all that was missing was a container in which to rehydrate them – so Ando sold his noodles directly in a cup, to which only boiling water had to be added at the end. The ideal cup shape had a narrower base than the top and was the perfect vessel for keeping the contents warmer for longer.

Ando was inspired and felt that eating his instant noodles would then be as simple as opening the lid, adding hot water, and waiting. This simplicity, efficiency and the low price of the noodles changed his life. All in all, he claimed the secret to a long life was to play golf and eat a cup of instant noodle soup every day.
