About Chimpers
When the legendary blade they were chosen to wield shattered against an opponent's simpler steel, Nijia did not cry out. The sound of their destiny breaking was loud enough for everyone in The Dojo. For months, they abandoned the training grounds, retreating to the archives where the only clashing sounds were pages turning. They stopped studying sword forms and instead poured over accounts of failure, of loss, of Chimpers who had lost everything and found something else in the silence that followed. Their once-boisterous expressions softened into a look of profound, knowing clarity. They lost a weapon destined for greatness, but in its place, they forged a wisdom that shines with the brilliance of diamond dust, teaching others that the heaviest burdens often forge the strongest souls.
