Sugina the Loose

About Chimpers

When Mesuokami first brought them into the wolf legion’s camp, no one knew what to make of the quiet chimper. They were an outcast found near-death in The Dragon Wastelands, clinging to a gilded Bushido creed and little else. For weeks, they were a model of discipline, always calm, always nurturing to the younger recruits. A new wolf once asked an elder, “Why do we call them ‘the Loose’? They seem the opposite.” The old wolf grinned, showing their teeth. “Because of the Great Ramen Incident. During a siege, in the pouring rain, Sugina tried to bring hot noodles to the sentries. They tripped. The entire pot landed on their head. For a moment, even the ghost dragons paused.” The name wasn’t an insult; it was the moment an outsider became family.
