XRP price prediction after whales load up $2 billion in 96 hours

XRP is attracting renewed attention after whale wallets accumulated approximately 1.54 billion tokens worth about $2.2 billion within 96 hours, a move that has strengthened the bullish case for the cryptocurrency as it trades near $1.41.

The accumulation comes at a time when market sentiment across digital assets has improved, with investors increasingly returning to risk assets.

The scale of the buying activity has fueled speculation that large holders are positioning for a potential move higher after XRP’s recent recovery.

In this case, data shared by market analyst Ali Martinez in an X post, citing Santiment, shows that XRP holdings among large wallets climbed from roughly 8.27 billion tokens on September 15 to about 9.81 billion by September 19.

Notably, whale-held balances have remained relatively stable near 8.3 billion XRP before surging sharply above 9.6 billion between September 16 and September 17. Holdings continued to rise over the following days, eventually reaching almost 9.81 billion XRP.

Historically, large-scale whale buying has often been interpreted as a sign of confidence among investors with significant capital, though it does not guarantee an immediate breakout.

Beyond the bullish signal, the accumulation has also reduced the amount of XRP available on the open market. If demand remains stable or increases, the reduction in circulating supply could provide additional support for higher prices.

Based on the latest whale accumulation, improving market sentiment, and XRP’s technical setup, ChatGPT projects the cryptocurrency could trade between $1.80 and $2.10 if buying pressure persists. From the current price of $1.41, the forecast implies potential upside of approximately 27% to 48%.

The outlook is supported by several technical indicators. XRP remains above its 50-day simple moving average (SMA) of $1.25 and its 200-day simple moving average of $1.27, indicating that the broader trend remains constructive despite recent volatility.

At the same time, the asset’s 14-day Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands at 56.49. The reading places XRP in neutral territory, suggesting there is still room for further gains before the market approaches overbought conditions.

Market sentiment also remains favorable. The Crypto Fear and Greed Index currently stands at 71, signaling strong investor appetite for risk, while XRP has recorded 16 positive trading sessions in the past 30 days, representing a 53% green-day ratio.

While whale activity alone cannot guarantee future price performance, the scale of the recent purchases indicates that large holders are accumulating rather than distributing XRP.

If demand remains strong and broader cryptocurrency market conditions stay supportive, the token could be positioned to challenge the $1.53 price target, representing a potential 10.77% gain from the current price of $1.39, with a move toward $2 remaining possible if bullish momentum accelerates further.
