Trader turns small stake into million-dollar position

A cryptocurrency trader identified as 0xnobi has turned a $2,200 investment into more than $1 million in unrealized gains on the Pons (PONS) token.

The trader began buying PONS on its launch day in July 2026 and has yet to sell any of the holdings.

On-chain data tracked by Arkham shows the position is now worth about $1.03 million, representing a roughly 468-fold return. The wallet holds 3.1 million PONS tokens priced at around $0.33 each.

Pons platform mechanics and tokenomics

PONS is the native token of Pons, a non-custodial token launchpad built exclusively for Robinhood Chain, an Arbitrum-based Ethereum Layer 2 network whose mainnet launched in early July 2026.

Pons allows users to create fixed-supply tokens without coding. New tokens start on a bonding curve before moving to permanently locked Uniswap liquidity pools once they reach a threshold of roughly 4.2 ETH.

The platform charges a flat launch fee of 0.0005 ETH and a 1% trading fee on pools. Creators receive about 70% of those fees, while the protocol takes the remaining 30%.

Around 80% of the protocol’s share of fees funds automated PONS buybacks on the open market, followed by permanent token burns.

This mechanism links platform activity to a reduction in token supply. By early September 2026, roughly 29% of the original 1 billion token supply had been burned.

Later reports put the figure at about 32%, leaving a circulating supply of approximately 680 million tokens. The entire supply entered circulation at launch, with no team or investor unlock schedules.

Drivers behind the token rally

Pons quickly became the dominant launchpad on Robinhood Chain, accounting for most daily token launches and trading volume on the network. At times, it handled two-thirds of launches and more than three-quarters of related trading volume.

The platform has processed hundreds of thousands of token creations and generated cumulative trading volume in the billions of dollars.

On peak days, it generated millions of dollars in fees, occasionally outpacing competitors such as pump.fun and ranking among the highest fee-generating applications in crypto. Lifetime fees exceeded $100 million during some tracking periods.

This activity generated consistent buying pressure for PONS through the burn program. Other catalysts included exchange listings on Coinbase, Upbit, Bybit, and Binance Alpha, which expanded the token’s visibility and liquidity.

Integrations involving assets such as Coinbase’s cbBTC and Chainlink’s CCIP also broadened its utility.
