About 73% of screened stablecoin transfers over the 12 months to July 31 occurred outside U.S. banking hours highlighting demand for round-the-clock payments.

Adjusted quarterly volume has quadrupled since early 2023 and could reach $1.5 trillion by the end of 2027 if current growth continues.
The report, dubbed ‘The Always-On Dollar,’ also found that 7 of the 10 largest U.S. banks have tested stablecoins or tokenized deposits for settlement.
The agentic economy has not been left behind with the report saying AI agents will likely use stablecoins. ~$3-$5 trillion is expected to be mediated by AI agents by 2030, according to McKinsey.
Stablecoins are increasingly positioning themselves as payment infrastructure for cross-border transfers, business settlements and future AI-agent transactions.
