How to add the price widget

Build it. Pick a coin and what to show, then copy the code.
Paste it. Open your editor's HTML view and paste the value into your sentence, where the figure should read. The script line goes once per page.
Publish. The figures are live as soon as the page is, and they update by themselves from then on.

WordPress: a Custom HTML block, or the Text tab of the classic editor.
Blogger: switch the post to HTML view.
Ghost: an HTML card.
Webflow: an Embed element.
Wix: Embed code, then Embed HTML.
Squarespace: a Code block.

Medium and Substack do not run scripts: there a widget stays what you pasted.

Questions about the price widget

What can the price widget show?

For any of 2,000+ coins: its price, its 24h change in percent or in money, its market cap (short or in full) and rank, its 24h trading volume, high and low, its all-time high in US dollars with how far below it the price is, the change from it and its date, its circulating supply, its name and its symbol.

What does the hover card show?

The coin with its rank, its price and 24h change, market cap, 24h volume, 24h range, all-time high and when the price was last updated, with a link to the coin's page on Coinfolytics. The builder can turn it off.

Does the value link to Coinfolytics?

On the free plan, yes: the value links its coin's page on Coinfolytics, in a new tab. The Investor plan and above can turn the link off in the builder.

Can I style a value?

Yes. A value is your own element, a link or a span, so it takes your text's font and colour and any class you give it. The builder's "Green for a gain, red for a loss" colours a 24h change.

What happens when a figure is not current?

Your text stays. A widget shows a figure only while we have a current one: 24h volume, rank and the 24h range count for 6 hours after their last update, and a price over an hour old is marked as the last known price in the hover card.

Can I write the code by hand?

Yes. A value is any element with data-cf="coin:field", the coin's id as in its Coinfolytics address, for example data-cf="bitcoin:price". The fields are price, change, move, cap, cap-full, rank, vol, high, low, ath, ath-pct, ath-change, ath-date, supply, name, symbol. Add data-cf-cur="eur" for another currency, data-cf-every="15m" for the refresh (5m, 15m, 30m or 1h), data-cf-color for green and red, data-cf-card="off" for no hover card and data-cf-theme="light" for a light card (it is dark by default).
